Tour Description

Our Crete Bali Sea Kayaking Tour is all about remote beaches, great rocky formations and some hidden places for cliff jumping!
Usually the weather is calm in the area, making it a great choice for non experienced paddlers. The distance of the trip is about 15 km, while it can easily extended up to 21 km for those that are experienced and looking to paddle more. After a short introduction to kayaking, which includes a brief description of paddling strokes and the basics about safety, we will adjust our paddles, kayaks and buoyancy aids in order to start our kayaking adventure. The options that we got are either to paddle towards the eastern part or the west (the west is more exposed and usually a better option for experienced paddlers).

Some times we are lucky enough to see sea turtles. Out of the seven species in the world, only three can be regularly found in the Mediterranean. Of these three only the loggerhead sea turtle nests in Greece. Some of the most important nesting beaches are on Crete (Rethymno, Chania -and Messara Bay).

Transfers**We pick up clients from Heraklion. Many times we are able to pick up clients from other locations as well but it needs to be on our way to the starting point. If you need transport and you are not sure get in touch with us. Remember to send us the exact location of your hotel, not just the name. Transport is provided for free. From Chania or Rethymno regions we don't provide transport, you will need to get either by bus or taxi. From Chania is about an hour and fifteen minutes, from Rethymno about 30 and from Heraklion around 45 minutes.

Level of difficulty

Easy. We keep a stable and comfortable paddling pace and there’s sufficient rest time during our stops. Participants should be in good physical condition and able to swim. Our experienced trip leaders ensure that everybody is happy, safe and having a great time!

Meeting Time/Point

We start at 10am and finish between 4-5pm.
Meeting point is just next to Livadi beach, near bali. There is a big parking (free access) about 10 minutes walk from the bus stop.
