    Tour Description

This is the Greek Islands Activities Tour, an amazing and active way to explore some of the most beautiful islands of our country! Together we visit Paros, Naxos and Santorini and enjoy hands-on experiences that mix history, outdoor activities, mythology and gastronomy.

Traditional villages with whitewashed flat-roofed houses and narrow alleys, small chapels all over the countryside, rocky landscapes mixing with the deep blue sea and powdery white sandy beaches, constitute an amazing scenery that changes dramatically from one island to the other!

Discover some of the best locations of the Greek islands, mingle with the locals, familiarize yourself with the Hellenic tradition and culture and savoir delicious meals.

    Level of difficulty

An “easy active” tour, with relaxed hikes and activities even for newcomers to active traveling. The walking is on a mixture of dirt tracks and well-constructed stone mule paths and the activities are perfectly designed in order to exceed your expectations!

    Itinerary

Day 1Paros island - Arrival day

Arrival on Paros island (on your own, or let us just arrange it for you), starting point of our tour!
Pick up from our Aegean Outdoors guide and private transfer to your lovely accommodation. Briefing about the program, evening walk and first dinner together! Overnight in Paros.

Day 2Paros Hiking: The Byzantine Trail

After our mighty Greek breakfast, we depart for the traditional village of Lefkes. From here we will start our hike in the Byzantine Trail.
The Byzantine road is the oldest trail on the island, and connects Lefkes to Prodromos. The trail, whose history dates back to the Byzantine era (1,000 AD), is 3.5 kilometers long and is paved with Parian marble. En routr we enjoy the scents and aromas of herbs and plants, and the views of olive trees and vineyards. The hike is easy going and ends in the beautiful beach of Logaras where we will enjoy a swim
In the evening, after freshening up at our accommodation, we visit Naoussa with its very picturesque fishing port, shops, restaurants and cafes. Beautiful walk in the alleys and dinner in a traditional, yet cosmopolitan restaurant! Overnight in Paros.

Day 3Greek Cooking Class and Horse Riding Tour

Today we will participate in a 4-hour cooking class, where we will learn about the traditional cooking methods and recipes of Paros and prepare a Greek meal with the guidance of our delightful chef. Having enjoyed our home made delicacies and some exquisite Greek wine, transfer to our riding center, for an exciting 2-hour horse riding tour: A unique opportunity to visit hidden places accessible only by horse or on foot and experience a bonding with the breathtaking landscape and this magnificent and glorious animal.

Day 4Naxos Hiking- and Cultural Experience

After breakfast, short transfer from the hotel to Paroikia in order to take our ferry to Naxos.
Our hiking experience today starts from Kouros statues.
These larger-than-life statues of young men, predestined to hold on to a temple roof, were abandoned incomplete by the ancient sculptors, when they discovered faults in the marble. Once we cross them, we follow the path to Ano Potamia, a picturesque village.
Short and refreshing stop at the village’s spring, continuing our hike to Apano Kastro (Upper Castle) to enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of Naxos town, port and the surrounding villages, while enjoying our delicious picnic lunch with traditional Greek products!
We continue onwards via Tsikalario little village to Halki, where we visit Valindras small distillery that produces Kitron (the local alcohol drink of Naxos). Private transfer to our accommodation, evening swim in the amazing waters of Naxos and dinner in Naxos town. Overnight in Naxos.

    Day 5Naxos Biking Tour

Another great and active day on the Greek islands awaits us today!
We will cycle on streets and paths without traffic through typical Naxian villages, while experiencing the rich flora and the breathtaking landscapes along our way.
Small tracks will lead us through farmlands so that we can enjoy beautiful views over mountains and some of the best coastlines in the Cyclades. Little stony roads take us to the beautiful beach of Mikri Vigla, with its stretch of finest white sand and blue sea. Excellent location for a swim and a light lunch!
Return along stretches of sandy beaches to our base, evening walk in the alleys of Naxos town, dinner and briefing about our next destination, the famous island of Santorini! Overnight in Naxos.

Day 6Santorini Hiking Fira - Oia (Caldera trail)

This morning we take the boat to the fairest island of the Cyclades, Santorini. The breathtaking view, upon arrival with the boat, gives us an idea of this volcanic island’s spectacular and world famous beauty. Transfer to the hotel. After we settle down, we depart for a walk that takes us from the town of Fira to Oia (Caldera trail), famous for its sunset views! Free evening to enjoy the vibe and flair of this cosmopolitan island! Overnight in Santorini. (Estimated walking time: 4 hours with stops, approx. 11 km)

Day 7Akrotiri Archaeological Site - Santorini Sea Kayak tour - Wine tasting

Dorians, Venetians, and Turks occupied Santorini, but its most influential early inhabitants were Minoans. They came from Crete sometime between 2000 BC and 1600 BC and the settlement of Akrotiri, dubbed as the Greek Pompeii, dates from the peak years of their civilization. Alongside with a professional guide you will have the opportunity to walk along the streets and squares of the city, which was buried in volcanic ash after the eruption of the volcano.
Finishing the walk it is time for an unforgettable sea kayaking experience! Enjoy views of spectacular rock formations, paddle, swim and snorkel in crystal clear waters and admire beautiful beaches in the southern part of the island. En route we will also savor a delicious light picnic meal.
Our evening today takes us on a wine tasting experience where our wine Connoisseur unveils the secrets and flavors of the renowned wines from Santorini along with delicious Greek food! Overnight in Santorini.

    Day 8Santorini Sailing Tour

Greece is famous for its maritime nature and what better way to explore it than a sailing tour!
Cruise by some of the island’s best-known landmarks before venturing into the turquoise waters. We will enjoy a soothing dip in hot springs and slip on our flippers for a snorkeling session. Finish up the excursion with a seafood and barbecue feast, washed down with local wine. Farewell dinner in the evening with unique Caldera views. Overnight in Santorini
