We will stay a couple of nights in our vibrant capital city of Ljubljana, enchanting alpine town of Bled, Slovenia’s outdoor adventure centre, Bovec and a night in our coastal jewel, Piran. Throughout the tour we will discover Slovenia’s natural treasures, get to know the local culture and people, learn about their way of life and taste delicious Slovenian food in authentic surroundings. There will also be enough time for some easy afternoon walks on your own, relaxed private dinners or (window) shopping in the centre of Ljubljana.

We start the adventure in Kamnik-Savinja Alps just north from Ljubljana. We will visit one of Slovenia’s most charming alpine pastures, Velika Planina (= The Big Meadow). You will be amazed by the fascinating landscape and surprised by the interesting alpine architecture. We will also learn about the culture of the local shepherds by visiting one of the oldest huts in the area. After the walk we treat ourselves to a delicious home-cooked lunch in a very special place. Today we will continue to the foothills of the Julian Alps and first explore Lake Bohinj area, just over an hour drive from our hotel in Ljubljana. We will explore typical villages, crystal clear streams and deep gorges, walk along the gorgeous Lake Bohinj and enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery. After a nice local lunch we transfer 30 minutes to Lake Bled, walk up to a stunning viewpoint or just relax on the lakeside and have an unforgettable swim in the lake! Overnight in Bled.
Hike: 14 km / elevation gain +200 m, -200 m/ approx. 4 hours
We will set off for the Triglav National Park, where we will begin our journey through the dense and magical spruce forest of Pokljuka. The path will take us to several viewpoints where we will enjoy impressive views of the highest mountains of Slovenia and the Bohinj Valley. We will try the products of the local shepherds and have lunch in a typical mountain hut. In the evening you will have time to enjoy lake Bled and its surroundings. Overnight in Bled.
Hike: 10 km / elevation gain +700 m, -700 m/ approx. 5 hours
We will start the day by visiting the impressive Pericnik Waterfall in the Vrata Valley. Walk underneath this stunning waterfall and freshen up underneath its cold water curtain. We will move on to reach the heart of the Julian Alps and the mountain pass Vrsic. We will explore this stunning area and walk along the fascinating road built by the Russian prisoners during the First World War. Spectacular mountain landscape and another tasty lunch in a fabulous hut! Overnight in Bovec.
Hike: 10 km / elevation gain +400 m, -400m / approx. 4 hours
The day will be spent in the western side of the Triglav National Park in the beautiful Soca Valley. We will discover its hidden spots, swim in spectacular pools and walk along the fascinating Soca river, also known as emerald river for its intense turquoise colour. We will learn about the history and WWI influence on the whole area. Overnight in Bovec.
Hike: 12 km / elevation gain +250 m, -250m / approx. 4 hours
Time to visit the Karst and the Coast. We will go underground and walk through the stunning canyon of Skocjan Caves, a Unesco heritage. Explore the vineyards of Karst and taste the excellent local food and wine. In the afternoon, continue to the coast to visit the most picturesque coastal town of Piran, get lost among its narrow streets and squares and enjoy the evening on the Adriatic sea. Overnight in Piran.
